1822 - William Beaumont (Father of Gastric Physiology) begins to study digestion after Alexis St Martin is accidentally shot in the stomach.

1892 - The Chicago "L" rail system begins operation.

 

1925 - Walter Chrysler founds the Chrysler Corporation.

 

1933 - The first drive-in theater opens in Camden, NJ.

 

1933 - The U.S Employment Service is created.
